The Lemonade Boutique is a women's clothing with a cause store. The question we get most often is "what is your cause?"

First and foremost our cause is dignified employment for everyone who makes our items. We believe that the stuff we buy should empower people instead of exploit them. Sweatshop-free is the minimum. Fair pay and safe working conditions are non-negotiable. That's why everything in The Lemonade Boutique is either Fair Trade and/or Ethically Made. 

 

Second, our cause is to empower others who are facing extreme challenges. We do this by partnering with groups and artisan partners around the world who empower others through fair employment and additional resources. This is what we mean when we say "your purchase empowers others facing extreme challenges to take life's lemons and make lemonade." Some of these lemons are Human Trafficking, Disabilities, Extreme Poverty, and the effects of War. Through fair employment, a life affirming atmosphere, and additional resources, these artisans are able to make lemonade.
